How is the word count calculated?
Words are counted by splitting on whitespace and punctuation. Hyphenated words count as one word. Numbers count as words.
What counts as a sentence?
Sentences are delimited by . ! or ? followed by a space or end of text. Abbreviations like "Mr." or "e.g." may slightly affect the count.
